Otas é natural de Fortaleza, Ceará, e encontrou sua conexão na arte inicialmente através da ilustração. Publicitário de formação, atuou inicialmente como diretor de arte e designer gráfico. Sua busca por novos desafios continuou a impulsioná-lo. Ele não teme sair da zona de conforto, explorar diferentes técnicas e meios de expressão, resultando em trabalhos e projetos com premiações e destaques nacionais e internacionais.
É na arte urbana que Otas se expressa de maneira mais livre e autêntica, explorando e experimentando a interação entre suas ilustrações e os espaços ocupados. Indo um pouco além da função decorativa, fazendo das cores, formas e mensagens despertar a curiosidade e estimular a reflexão.
Suas narrativas visuais se destacam por sua versatilidade. Transita por linguagens diversas, flertando com o figurativo e o desenho livre, exibindo uma fusão de pinceladas soltas, traços precisos, composições dinâmicas e uma exuberância cromática.
Otas is a native of Fortaleza, Ceará, and initially found his connection to art through illustration. With a background in advertising, he initially worked as an art director and graphic designer. His pursuit of new challenges continued to drive him forward. He isn't afraid to step out of his comfort zone, exploring different techniques and means of expression, resulting in works and projects that have received national and international recognition and awards.
It's in urban art that Otas expresses himself in a more free and authentic manner, exploring and experimenting with the interaction between his illustrations and the spaces they occupy. Going beyond merely decorative purposes, he uses colors, shapes, and messages to arouse curiosity and stimulate reflection.
His visual narratives stand out for their versatility. He navigates through various artistic languages, flirting with figurative and freehand drawing, displaying a fusion of loose brushstrokes, precise lines, dynamic compositions, and a rich chromatic exuberance.
